Welcome to Born2tri: Essex’s Award-Winning Triathlon Club

Based in Essex, Born2Tri is a vibrant, inclusive and friendly triathlon club dedicated to athletes of all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced athletes. Born2Tri welcomes anyone who wants to swim, bike, and run.

In 2024, we proudly won Regional Club of the Year, and in 2025, one of our coaches earned the prestigious Coach of the Year award for fostering participation and excellence. In 2023, we were recognised by British Triathlon as the Best Small Triathlon.

Our coaching team includes British Triathlon’s Best Participation Coach (2025) — bringing passion, knowledge, and encouragement to every session.

Born2tri offers a full year-round programme:

  • Squad and 1-to-1 swim coaching, including video analysis
  • Winter virtual turbo sessions (“Turbo Tuesday”)
  • Weekly run training (“Wednesday Workout”)
  • Summer brick sessions (bike–run)
  • Saturday social rides (~45 miles around the lanes of Essex)

We offer tailored sessions to help you achieve your goals. Join us and become a part of our supportive triathlon community!

The only commitment we ask of our members is that they help at our annual race or help us support another local event to ensure we can continue to maintain these high standards.

If you are interested in joining Born2Tri please feel free to come to one of our training sessions to meet us. To join us for a taster session, please email secretary@born2tri.com or to join, complete our membership form found under “Join the Club” at the top of the page.
